26. Are there phones available for students to use? |

Courtesy phones are available for use on each hallway of each floor within the residence halls. Long-distance requires either a personal long distance billing code that is obtained through the University’s Information Technology department or via a pre-paid calling card that students can purchase at most convenience stores.
In order to
activate your OU telephone account, you must sign up for a long
distance code, even if you do not plan on utilizing any long distance
services. You are invited to stop by the IT booth during Sooner
Orientation to sign up online. The rate for student telecom accounts is
$.07/minute for calls made within the United States. For information
