Roommates are assigned on the basis of year in school according to preferences indicated on a student's housing contract.

Students may request a specific roommate on their contract. We try to honor all mutual-roommate requests, but we must receive them by June 15. Roommate requests received after that date might not be honored. Please note that both students must request the each other as roommates on the Housing and Food Services contract to be assigned as roommates.  Freshman students who are not mutually requesting a roommate may participate in the Online Roommate Matching Questionnaire.  Once we have received and processed the Housing and Food Services contract, an e-mail will be sent to the student's OU e-mail account with a link to the online form.  The preferences indicated by your student through the online questionnaire will be used to assign roommates.
