The University of Oklahoma has an array of housing options for students to decide on when it comes to their home away from home. Each of the residence halls have center-specific amenities and design features.
When your student has completed his or her housing application and are admitted to the University, H&F will mail your student a housing contract where  he or she can indicate your preferences for the following:

  • Towers
  • Quads
  • Premium room
  • Double
  • Single
  • Academic Arts Community (Honors)
  • International floor
  • Scholastic floor
  • Quiet lifestyle
  • National merit

The residence halls are very convenient and include three, twelve story towers:  Adams, Couch and Walker - that accommodate students with great views of campus in suite-style arrangements with two people to a room, each room sharing a bathroom with the adjoining room. Cate Center, also referred to as “the Quads” are a 4-story low rise buildings closest to the South Oval that are further divided into smaller college houses. The Academic Arts Community, which resides at the OU Honors College and David. L Boren Hall is also located at Cate Center.
All of the residence hall rooms include high-speed Internet access through Ethernet. Separate study and television lounges on every floor of the towers, and every first floor of Cate Center, provide a comfortable & inviting place to read, study or spend time with friends. There are two, 24-hour computer labs located on the first floor of Couch and Walker, along with pool and ping-pong tables, along with large and comfortable lounge furniture. Ample laundry facilities are also located in each Center.

The University of Oklahoma also owns and operates three apartment communities; OU Traditions Square East, OU Traditions Square West and Kraettli .

As a part of the University's renaissance in on-campus student housing, OU Traditions Square introduced the University community to post-freshman, apartment-style living at the grand opening of OU Traditions Square East in August 2005 and Traditions Square West in August 2006.

Each OU Traditions Square community provides students with a full kitchen, in-unit washer and dryer, and a full array of amenities, including wireless and Ethernet Internet connectivity, DVD and television in each unit, local phone, and all-bills paid. Residents of Traditions also enjoy a resort-style pool, a putting green, sand volleyball, a clubhouse with a fitness area, study area and computer lab, as well as controlled access parking. As an extension of the residence life experience, regular community building programs take place throughout the year, as well as programs by the OU Traditions Square and Kraettli Faculty-in-Residence.

Kraettli Apartments, our traditional apartments, offer single and family living in 2-bedroom floorplans. Law students enjoy this complex because of its convenient location to the Law Center.
