1. How do I enroll? Print

Log on to the website http://enroll.ou.edu, and fill out your schedule.  You should check with your advisor to ensure you are enrolled in the correct courses.
 
2. When are my finals? Print

Check your “finals schedule” on http://enroll.ou.edu or check your course syllabus.  Your professor will know the date and time of your final for each class.
 
3. What is dead week? Print

Dead week is the last week of class prior to finals week.  Dead week is to be used to prepare for final examinations the following week.

 
4. Do I have to move all of my stuff out at semester break? Print

No. You may leave anything you will not need over the break in your room. You will be unable to access property left in your room over break.
 
5. What is Sooner Sense? Can I do laundry with it? Print

 
Sooner Sense is a debit account automatically linked to your Sooner One Card.  Funds can be added to it at various locations on campus, as well as at the One Card Website.  For more information on Sooner Sense, visit the One Card site by clicking here. Sooner Sense can be used to do laundry and your card can be swiped at the machine in each on-campus laundry facility.

 
6. How do I request a room change? Print

If you need to change rooms for any reason, please contact your resident adviser first and see if they can help resolve the issue.  If your RA is unable to help, please visit the main housing office, Walker Center Rm. 126, to speak with a housing representative about a room change.
 
7. When will I be notified of a room change? Print


E-mails will be sent granting or denying any room change requests within one week of being received.

 
8. Where do I pay my Housing and Food Services bill? Print


All payments for Housing and Food Services should be submitted to the Office of the Bursar, Buchanan Hall, Rm. 105.  Payments can also be made online at http://pay.ou.edu

 
9. What options do I have for upperclass housing? Print


Upperclass students have numerous living options. 
Upperclass choices include:

  • Live in your same room from last year
  • Move to an exclusive upperclass community in any of the following four housing centers:
    Adams Penthouses (Adams 12)
    Cate Village (Quad 2)
    Couch Condominiums (Couch 2)
    Walker Court (Walker 2W & 3W)
  • OU Traditions Square East and West
  • Kraettli Apartments
 
10. Can I move to a Super Suite? Print


Super Suites are located in Couch and Walker Centers.  Super Suites may be shared between one, two or three upperclass residents and incoming freshmen may choose a Super Suite to share between three residents. For more information and to check availability, please call (405)325-2511 or visit the main housing and food services office in Walker Center, Rm. 126.

 
11. Can I move to a single room? Print


Yes, depending on availability.  Please stop by the main housing office in Walker Center, Rm. 126, to discuss your options

12. Where is the post office? Print


The Housing Post Office is located in Cate Center, Quad 4.  Quad 4 is located just south of the Cate Main building.
 

 
13. My computer connection is not working. Who do I need to call? Print


Please call Information Technology at (405)325-HELP.

 
14. My TV cable connection is not working. Who do I need to call? Print


Cable problems should be reported directly to Cox Communications at (405) 600-7600.

 
15. Does my Sooner One Card give me access to all of the Residence Halls? Print


Your Sooner One Card will give access to your center, floor and ground entrances of other centers with access readers.
 

 
16. What do I do if I get locked out of my room? Print


Visit your center office to checkout a spare room key.  If the office is closed, contact your RA or call the duty number listed outside your center office.

 
17. What do I do if I have a maintenance issue? Print


The best way is to fill out an online maintenance request form by clicking here.  The maintenance staff will assess and deal with the issue as quickly as possible.

 
18. Who do I talk with about parking issues? Print


Please contact Parking and Transit Services directly.You can access their website by clicking here. 

 
19. How do I request a loft kit for my bed? Print


Loft kits can be requested by completing an online maintenance request form.  To do so click here .

 
20. What do I do if I lose my ID card? Print


You can get a temporary ID Card at the main housing office in Walker Center, Rm. 126, to allow you access to your meals and meal points. Also, you will want to suspend your card so no one else can use it.  You can do that online by clicking here . Or you can go to the OneCard office in the Student Union or at the Housing and Food Services main office in Walker Center.  By activating a temporary card you automatically suspend your ID card until found.
 

 
21. What do I do if I get a citation? Print


If you are issued a citation by a Resident Adviser or Community Service Officer (CSO), you will need to either pay the citation or submit an appeal by the date indicated on the citation. The office of Judicial Services handles all of the judicial processes. If you choose to appeal a citation, your appeal will be reviewed by a Citation Appeals Board made up of students who currently reside in the residence halls.

 
22. What size is the mattress? Print


Mattresses in Adams, Couch and Walker Centers are all 4"/6" polyfoam, measuring 36"x82".
Those mattresses in Cate Center are 4"/6" polyfoam, measuring 36"x75".

In order to assure that sheets fit mattresses accordingly, please be sure to purchase extra-long twin sheets.
